OUR BLACK BELTS
At Instituto Progreso Educativo V.E.L.A., earning a Black Belt represents far more than achieving a rank—it represents years of discipline, perseverance, dedication, character development, leadership, and personal growth.
We are proud to recognize the Black Belts who have been trained, developed, and promoted through our Institute. Each of these martial artists has walked a journey that required commitment, sacrifice, respect, and the determination to continue even when the path became difficult.
Under the instruction and leadership of Master Jose A. Velasquez, our Black Belts have been trained not only in the physical techniques of Taekwondo, but also in the values of self-control, respect, responsibility, confidence, humility, and leadership.
These students represent the legacy and growing history of Instituto Progreso Educativo V.E.L.A. — Velasquez Education for Life and Advancement. Their accomplishments demonstrate what can be achieved through consistent training, strong character, and a commitment to excellence.
A Black Belt is not the end of the journey—it is the beginning of a greater responsibility to learn, lead, serve, and inspire others.
